I've rewritten my bio so often I'm not sure who I am anymore

This is my first post on this website. I've never had a personal blog so this is a new experience for me. It’s thrilling to have a place where I can say exactly what I want to say and share it with you.

Being the perfectionist that I am, I'm not quite happy with my site just yet. I want it to be an accurate representation of who I am as a writer-person, and I've been slowly molding it into something that's useful for me, and hopefully for you if you are reading this.

Next week, I'm going to an industry event at Columbia College Chicago where I will be networking with other professionals and showing off my portfolio. I'll have my own table set up with business cards, an IPad to display my website, and a small book of my clips. I had a difficult time choosing between sitting with the marketing, journalism, or creative writing kids. Although creative writing is my major, I have more professional experience in the other fields and wouldn't want to miss an opportunity if I wasn't grouped in the right category.

Recently I've been trying to figure out where I best fit. Through college I've been scrappy, picking up any writing job I could get my hands on, saying yes to everything that came my way. As a result I have a strangely diverse resume that doesn't even include my previous customer service jobs. I guess I can continue to build off of the foundation I've set for myself. I may not know exactly where I fit, but at least I have a little experience in a lot of different things.
